Dr. Beat Schwab, former Head Global Real Estate of Credit Suisse and former CEO of Wincasa, becomes Venture Partner and investor at PropTech1 Ventures
DGAP-News: COOPERATIVA Venture Group / Key word(s): Change of Personnel Dr. Beat Schwab, former Head Global Real Estate of Credit Suisse and former CEO of Wincasa, becomes Venture Partner and investor at PropTech1 Ventures Berlin, 14 December 2018 – PropTech1 Ventures, Germany’s first venture capital fund focusing on European PropTech startups, welcomes Dr. Beat Schwab as first Swiss Venture Partner and further investor. Beat Schwab’s prior position was Head of Global Real Estate Asset Management at Credit Suisse, one of the world’s largest real estate asset managers with over EUR50 billion in assets under management. Prior to that, he was CEO of Wincasa, Switzerland’s leading property manager. His current positions include Chairman of the Board of Directors at Zug Estates, a real estate company listed on the Swiss stock exchange, and Member of the Board of Directors at Schweizerische Bundesbahnen (SBB) and Raiffeisen Switzerland. In addition, he has been active as business angel in the PropTech ecosystem for several years. In the role of Venture Partner, he will contribute his extensive expertise in asset and property management as well as his network from his decade-long career in the real estate sector. Beat Schwab is also investing in PropTech1 through his private company. After the investment in the big data PropTech Archilyse, the inclusion of Beat Schwab as Venture Partner is the next step in the expansion of PropTech1’s activities in Switzerland. In addition, Beat Schwab perfectly complements the existing expertise and perspectives of the management and currently other four Venture Partners of PropTech1.
