International Battery Metals Ltd. Files Strategic Patent Application for Extraction and Production of High Purity Lithium Products in the United States

Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - June 11, 2018) - International Battery Metals Ltd. (CSE: IBAT) ('IBAT' or the 'Company'), a company that specializes in lithium extraction from oilfield brines, today announces that it has filed for patent protection at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for a novel process to produce high purity lithium products that do not rely on electrolysis. This patent application, along with previous applications will protect directly IBAT's extraction and production process in the United States as the company also prepares to file the application internationally.
Dr. John Burba stated, 'We are proud to announce the filing of a new patent application with the US Patent and Trade Mark Office. The new application covers a novel process for the production of primary high purity lithium carbonate and hydroxide. A key advantage of this unique process is that it does not rely on electrolysis to produce 99.9% to 99.99% purity lithium products.'
The patent application covers technology developed by Dr. Burba and protects the technology advancements in the Companies oilfield lithium extraction processes.
IBAT is an advanced technology company focused on lithium brine extraction. The company is in the process of creating and applying intellectual property related to lithium extraction from oilfield brines for petro-lithium extraction projects. Syzygy AG: EBIT-Prognose überfüllt, weiteres Wachstum in Sicht
Mit einer erneut außerordentlich guten Entwicklung der in Deutschland ansässigen Tochtergesellschaften war der SYZYGY-Konzern in der Lage, die Umsatzbasis auf 65,82 Mio. EUR (VJ: 60,67 Mio. EUR) auszubauen. Das Zuwachs von 8,5 % liegt leicht unter der ursprünglichen Unternehmens-Guidance eines zweistelligen Umsatzwachstums. Die Prognose einer EBIT-Marge im oberen einstelligen Bereich wurde aber voll erfüllt.
Auf Basis der erreichten Neukundengewinne prognostiziert das Unternehmensmanagement für 2019 ein Umsatzwachstum in einem hohen einstelligen Prozentbereich. Das EBIT sollte um rund 10 % und damit überproportional ansteigen. Unsere Analysten sind weiter positiv für das Unternehmen mit einem Kursziel von 12,15 EUR je Aktie.
